I have always drawn quite a lot, but somehow never really got into painting with colour. Recently, a friend invited me to join an Offenes Atelier in Nuremberg, basically an open studio where you can drop in for an evening, sit down and paint alongside other people. That got me started with watercolours. I then came across a designer on YouTube who painted one image a day for a year. I am not trying to follow that exactly, but I liked the idea of making something regularly, without making too much of a project out of it. So I have been picking subjects that catch my attention and seeing what happens.

Jellyfish

I have always been fascinated by jellyfish, their strange shapes and quiet beauty. Some of them can even produce their own light, which makes them even more fascinating to me.
